Publication of Provisional Volumes for our Smart Meter Rollout to 2033
TruEnergy would like to announce our provisional plans for the next few years of our smart metering rollout have been accepted by Ofgem.
Between now and 2033, there are many upcoming challenges for UK energy suppliers, which include the decommissioning of 2G and 3G wireless networks, meaning that all older Smets1 meters will have their communications modules cease to function, so TruEnergy will be proactively reaching out to all affected customers to offer free upgrades to the latest 4G communications technology.
This work runs in parallel to our efforts in upgrading as many older traditional credit meters to smart meters as we possibly can, and we will not let up on our goal to fit a smart meter in every house we supply.
